ICAP has a lot of good news to share…

Last Friday afternoon we sent out a press release regarding our new publication, Sea-Level Rise and Coastal Land Use in Hawai‘i: A Policy Tool Kit for State and Local Governments (available on our Publications page, and we now have hard copies available of the executive summary and action matrix.)

You may have seen our op-ed related to climate change and sea-level rise adaptation in this past Sunday’s Star-Advertiser (copy for download here; link for subscribers: http://www.staradvertiser.com/s?action=login&f=y&id=137341403).

A three-day op-ed series begins today in Honolulu Civil Beat (first installment: http://www.civilbeat.com/posts/2012/01/17/14563-how-hawaii-should-address-climate-change-and-sea-level-rise/).

You’re also welcome to attend this afternoon’s climate change legislative briefing at the State Capitol from 1 to 3 p.m. in conference room 325. Presentations on climate change impacts, science and policy will be made by ICAP Director Maxine Burkett, Dr. Chip Fletcher, Jesse Souki and Eileen Shea.

Thank you for your climate change adaptation work and your ongoing support of ICAP!
